Diabetes Education:

  As a certified diabetes educator (CDE), I provide individualized education on all aspects of diabetes   management. 

Topics include:

• Diet
• Physical activity
• Hypoglycemia
•  Preventing long-term complications
• Foot Care
• Stress management,
• Training on use of glucose meters and how to interpret the results
• Medications
• Problem-solving skills

  My goal is to help client’s realize that with education and support, they can take control of their diabetes.        

Diabetes Education is a covered benefit with a physician referral under most Hawaii insurance plans including: UHA, HMSA, HMAA, Humana, and Medicare
